Stretch Goal #7 unlocked! 350 Backers - you guys rock!
over 3 years ago – Fri, Nov 06, 2020 at 05:50:22 AM

I'm truly humbled by the amazing support!

While I've been anxiously awaiting the results of the election (as I'm sure many of you have as well), we crossed two awesome milestones; $20,000 and 350 backers!

Now that we've unlocked Eric Chen's cover (which he is working on diligently), we are opening a really cool little bonus that ties in directly with the theme of the campaign!

This will be printed on a similar parchment paper to the Archival edition of the book and feature the letter Ben Franklin writes to the Ministry in the story!

We've also added a few more original art sketch options from my buddies Joe Schmalke and Rich Woodall! You may know Rich and Joe from the myriad titles they've created, but they're also the driving force behind Scout's imprint Black Caravan:

These are add-ons, so you must be pledged for at least the lowest physical tier to add them!

Ending soon, another one to check out!

The ghost story, one of the oldest forms of narrative which has terrified and intrigued audiences for millennia. Now four early ghost stories, mostly forgotten in the depths of literary history are brought together for the first time in one graphic novel adaptation.
Early Haunts collates four early supernatural tales which each inspired some of history's greatest horror publications.

This one ends in a little over 24 hours, so click here to check it out now!

I just wanted to wish everyone a happy halloween from the whole Stake team and Jessamy!

We're less than $1500 from the $20k stretch goal and nearing 350 backers! Thank you all so much again!

Fun Campaign ending tomorrow night!

A quick update - Milestones Approach
over 3 years ago – Tue, Nov 03, 2020 at 11:46:38 AM

Good evening everyone!

With a little over $1000 to go to the $20k stretch goal and 5 backers to 350, I just wanted to check in before I go offline for tomorrow. With the Election going on in the US, I'm sure most of us will have our attention pointed squarely there, so I won't be bugging anyone with updates tomorrow!

Vote if you haven't!

Cool campaign ending tomorrow!

LA MANO del DESTINO tells the tale of a once-champion Luchador – who, after being betrayed by his friends and unmasked in the ring, agrees to a Faustian bargain with a mysterious promoter. He gains a new power and the identity of La Mano del Destino in order to exact revenge upon his betrayers. Set in a swanky, 1960s Mexico where Lucha Libre is intrinsically woven into all aspects of society and are the most important events that happen within this world, this tale winds its way through the machinations and motivations of all types who inhabit this unique setting.

Can La Mano del Destino get his revenge while remaining the champion he knows himself to be? - Get the complete arc here to find out!

Cthulhu invades...Stake?
over 3 years ago – Fri, Oct 30, 2020 at 12:23:51 AM

So maybe not exactly...

About a year ago, my friend and fellow creator Travis Gibb asked me to write a short for his anthology Cthulhu Invades Oz. I agreed, of course, and with the help of artist Bryan SilverBax and colorist Claudia Giuliani, we brought to life a story about Jack Pumpkinhead!

The concept revolves around the blending of two different universes in Lovecraft's Cthulhu and Baum's Wizard of Oz series. When the Great Cthulhu invades Oz all hell breaks loose. This anthology tells one big story through the eyes of the different characters of Oz.

This anthology is a lot of fun and in honor of it running on Kickstarter at the same time as Stake Presents: Jessamy #1, I'm offering an awesome print to anyone who backs both campaigns!

The only way to get this is to back both campaigns for physical tiers and it will be included with your Stake Presents: Jessamy #1 rewards! There are over 50 awesome creators on the Cthulhu Invades Oz project, so take a look and back if you can!

We keep on Stretchin'!
over 3 years ago – Thu, Oct 29, 2020 at 04:45:58 PM

Thanks to all of you, we did it again.

The Brian LueSang print will now be included in every physical backer's rewards!

So what's next?

How about a fresh new cover! Eric Chen is working diligently on a new Stake Presents: Jessamy cover!

If we hit $20,000 everyone who pledged over $30 for a physical tier will receive Eric's regular cover for free!

Another campaign to check out!

PROJECT MAGUS is a   military fantasy set in a very near dystopian future. Through extensive   research of history, chemistry and human biology, this story presents Magic   in a gritty, scientifically grounded fashion. The series was launched in   March of 2019 through Kickstarter and has already published three issues with   a fourth soon on the way.

The story centers around Corporal Victoria Lopez, a hot-tempered Marine   with a haunting past. Victoria discovers an extraordinary ability that aids   her and her allies against a rising threat of overwhelmingly powerful Spell Casters.

As we keep rolling, I hope we hit this next stretch goal so Eric's cover gets added to the campaign!

I'll be back soon! Thank you all again!
